Marina Yanglyayeva

Assistant Professor of International Journalism and Literature at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.

Marina Mikhailovna Yanglyayeva is Assistant Professor of International Journalism and Literature at the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University.

She graduated from the same, specializing in International Journalism as well. She is a Candidate of Philology; in 2011, she defended her thesis on Finnish mass media and journalism in the context of evolution of information and communications networks.

Marina Yanglyayeva develops original courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students and has written several textbooks, including “The History of International Journalism”, “The Media Systems”, “Global Politics and Mass Media”, “Globalization and Regionalization of International Relations”, “Theory and Practice of Communications in Foreign Policy” and others.

She is the author of over 60 scientific articles and three research papers published in Russian and international mass media. She also helps her undergraduate and postgraduate students with their diplomas and master’s theses.

Presently, she is Director of the Finnish and Scandinavian Mass Media Research Center and works together with other experts on various projects to pool international knowledge.
