Ekaterina Shipova

Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Moscow Center of Urban Studies “City”

Born in Moscow, she graduated from the Moscow State University, Faculty of Psychology.

From 1984 to 1994, she worked for the Russian Academy of Sciences with the focus on psychology of creative and scientific teams, consulted commercial firms, created and taught business workshops, and cooperated with the Agency for Strategic Communications “Niccolo M” as consulting psychologist.

From 1998 to 2008, she worked for IMA Group: from 1998 to 2004, as Deputy General Director of the Center of Communicative Technologies “PROPAGANDA”, from 2004 to 2005, as General Director of IMA Consulting, and from 2005 to 2008, as General Director and a shareholder of the Center of Social Projects “Zhilsoviet”. IMA Group is mainly active in PR and political consulting.

From 2008 to 2012, she was President and a shareholder of the Center of Social Projects “Community” (various long-term social projects). Since 2009, she has been Executive Director of the Post-Crisis World Institute Foundation (global research surveys).

Since 2019, she has been the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Moscow Center of Urban Studies “City”.
