Biography

Director Of Government Relations of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center;
an expert of many years’ experience in sociological studies and marketing research;
a top specialist in social and political studies, information policy, communications and internet research;
member of five Russian and international professional, scientific and expert organizations.

In 2002, Cyril Rodin graduated from Moscow State University in methodology and methods of sociological research.

After graduating, he took part in preparing government election campaigns for a long period of time.

Cyril Rodin believes that the top priorities in his job are:

development of internet research, including methods that enable researchers to collect representative qualitative data (he calls it the second field revolution), and
development of consulting services that base on various sociological data.

“The simple observation of facts is not what is expected of us today; we have to give good advice and provide a long-term vision of the future, which is a quite different matter that requires quite different instruments and techniques.”

Professional Activity

Cyril Rodin started working for the Russian Public Opinion Research Center in 2008.

Initially, he coordinated the work of various offices of the center. Later, he took charge of the government relations and customer management.

Since that time, Cyril has been instrumental in successful completion of over a hundred projects, including surveys related to healthcare, transport, urban studies, sports, government executive bodies and many other things.

Looking back on his over ten years of management and research experience, Cyril notes that there has been material change in clients’ attitude to opinion polls: “People started coming to us in advance, not after they had already made a mess of things. Material change comes with rigorous research.”

Public Activity

In 2013, Cyril Rodin became a member of the public council of the federal Road Agency.
In 2016, he became a member of the public council of the Russian Ministry of Health.
In 2018, he became a member of the public council of the Federal Bailiff’s Service and Chair of the Professional Business Services Committee of the Russian Managers Association.
In 2019, he became a member of the public council of the Russian Emergency Ministry.
