Tumun Tsydypov

First Deputy General Director of BAIKAL.CENTER

Tumun Leonidovich Tsydypov is First Deputy General Director of BAIKAL.CENTER.

Being a Candidate of Political Sciences, he is an expert in strategic planning and public administration reforms.

Tumun Tsydypov graduated from the Department of History, Buryat State University. Later, he attended post-graduate courses at Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and completed his Master’s Degree in International Politics at Aberystwyth University, Great Britain.

For several years, he consulted the World Bank on public administration reforms and migration. He also conducted the reforms of the governmental official think tank’s control and supervisory activities.

From 2011 to 2013, he was Deputy Vice-Principal of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. In that office, he was in charge for international strategies of the Academy as well as for international relations and partnerships. Later, he started working for the Forum Analytical Center, which is a project office of the Open Government Partnership initiative. There, he undertook competition and business climate studies as well as reforms of control and supervisory activities.
