Mikhail Krestmein

Moscow General Planning Research and Project Institute

Mikhail Germanovich Krestmein is Chief Engineer of the Moscow General Planning Research and Project Institute.

He was born on December 30, 1948.

In 1971, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. He started his career as an engineer and later became Chief Project Engineer of the State Town-Planning Institute “Giporgor”.

Since 1997, he has been working for the Moscow General Planning Research and Project Institute. First, he headed the Transportation and Road Department, and in 2009, became its Chief Engineer.

Mikhail Krestmein is Candidate of Technical Sciences. He is one of the leading designers of the new General Plan of Moscow.

He received the Medal “In Commemoration of the 850th Anniversary of Moscow”, a Certificate of Appreciation by the Moscow Architectural Committee, a Note of Acknowledgement by the Mayor of Moscow, an Alexander Gutnov Award, an Honored Employee Badge by the Moscow Architectural Committee and a second-class medal of the Order of Merit for the Motherland.

In 2006, he became an Honorary Builder of the Russian Federation.
