
Igor Bakhriyev
Igor Alexandrovich Bakhriyev is Head of the Transport and Engineering Center at the Genplan Institute of Moscow.
In 1993, he graduated from Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University, specializing in Engineering and Construction of Motorways.
Right after the graduation, he started working in the transport workshop of the Genplan Institute of Moscow as part of the road network development team. He participated directly at the front-end engineering design of the realigned Moscow Automobile Ring Road, several segments of the Third Ring Road and numerous other projects.
In 1998, Igor Bakhriyev became Head of the resurrected Road Traffic Engineering Department. He piloted several new projects, including the strategy and comprehensive long-term development program of the road traffic engineering in Moscow, the Vnukovo Airport development concept, the Central Moscow integrated traffic management scheme and others.
In 2004, he finished his post-graduate program at Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University, defended his thesis on design speeds in urban traffic networks and became a Candidate of Science.
Since 2003, he has been active at the Moscow office of the International Academy of Architecture and has been working on the key issues of the architectural industry.
He received Certificates of Merit from the Genplan Institute and the Moscow Architecture and City-Planning Committee as an honored employee of the industry as well as several Certificates of Commendation form the Moscow Government. He is also a multiple winner of Alexey Gutnov Architectural Award. For his dedicated service, he also received a Letter of Commendation from the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.
