
Elena Petrovskaya
Elena Igorevna Petrovskaya is an Associate Professor of the Urban Planning Department of the Moscow Institute of Architecture. In 1999, she won the award of the Golden Section Contest and joined the Union of Moscow Architects. Several scientific articles, such as “Recreational Routes as an Impetus for Spatial Development”, “Space Frame of Urban Development”, “Guidance for Actualization of Professional Competences of Undergraduate Students of Urban Planning”, “Dimensional Analysis and Location of Prospective Development Territories (a Study of Graduate Works Presented by Students of the Moscow Institute of Architecture in 2015-2016) etc., were written under her academic supervision. Elena Petrovskaya arranged several university workshops, some of them in cooperation with universities of the Netherlands, Barcelona, Florence and the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation. She participated in the academic panel discussion on “Strategy of the Spatial Development of the Russian Federation up to 2025” at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Elena Petrovskaya prepared her own academic program for undergraduate students of the Higher School of Economics on “Urban Planning and Morphology of Urban Spaces” as well as several programs for graduate students of the Moscow Institute of Architecture. Four student projects prepared under her supervision were sent to the International Review Contest for Architecture and Design in four years. Some of the participants received first class diplomas. Elena Petrovskaya gives lectures at the Empire Décor Training Centre. Prior to 2018, while teaching at the institute and preparing her thesis, she worked on private architectural, landscaping and design projects.
