Alexey Shcherbinin

Alexey Ignatyevich Shcherbinin is Chairman of Political Sciences Department of Tomsk State University.

He was born in 1952.

Alexey Shcherbinin is Board Chairman of the Political Sciences Association of West Siberia, member of the Board of the Russian Political Science Association, President of Civil and Political Education Foundation, full member of the Academy of Political Science and member of the editorial board of the Political Research Journal. He wrote over 200 research papers and educational and methodological works for Russian as well as foreign scientific journals.

His main scientific interest is questions of political and civic education.

As scientist and educator, Alexey Shcherbina received numerous awards and honors, including Decoration of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, title of the Honored Worker of High Professional Education of the Russian Federation, several laureate diplomas of the Tomsk Oblast Education and Science Award, three diplomas of the Russian Humanities Contest of the Ministry of Education, Badge of Honor for Merit for Tomsk Oblast, Golden Badge of the Coat of Arms of Tomsk Oblast, Badge of Honor of the Pride of Tomsk, Medal for Achievements from the Governor of Tomsk Oblast, Medals of Tomsk State University for Merits and for Valorous Labor as well as Badge of Honor for Contribution to the Development of Tomsk City.
