
Alexander Vigdorov
Alexander Lvovich Vigdorov is a Soviet and Russian architect and designer of numerous structures of the Moscow Metro, located underground as well as above ground. He is an Honorary Builder of Moscow.
He was born in Moscow on August 21, 1955.
In 1978, he graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute.
Alexander Vigdorov is a member of the Union of Architects of the USSR (and later of Russia). In 1989, he was awarded the title of Honorary Builder of Moscow for his great contribution to the development of Moscow construction industry and his many years of dedicated work. He won the Crystal Daedalus award for his design of the Delovoy Tsentr Metro station (now Vystavochnaya), for which he also received a diploma at the 14th Zodchestvo International Festival.
He also designed such popular stations of the Moscow Metro as Tsaritsino, Chekhovskaya, Cherkizovskaya, Timiryazevskaya, Bibirevo, Altufyevskaya, Chkalovskaya, Kozhukhovskaya, Vorobyovy Gory and Kuntsevskaya as well as several stations of the Butovskaya rapid transit line.
