On May 29, 2026, from 15:30 to 16:30, in Moscow, Gostiny Dvor, at the “Glossary” lecture hall, a session titled “ARCHITECTURE OF IMPRESSIONS: CONNECTING TWO CAPITALS” will take place, organized by the Moscow Urban Center “Gorod” Foundation.
About the session:
The city is not only a place for living and working but also a space of diverse impressions. Parks, public centers, and city festivals combine to make urban environments vibrant and varied. Each city contributes its own traditions of communication, habits, and festival culture to this dynamic environment. During the session, experts from Moscow and Saint Petersburg will discuss how the architecture of impressions differs between the two capitals and how the city’s rhythm influences the style of green landscapes, residential districts, and public spaces.

About the session:
How do cultural heritage and modern graffiti coexist in a big city? What about spaces for classical music and informal cafes, literary arts, and internet memes? Student groups from Moscow universities will present their vision of the ideal city for youth. Experts —sociologists, architects, designers, and art historians — will discuss what is necessary for harmonious coexistence of culture and youth subcultures within the urban environment.
